Molding technologies for each required function - ease of use, convenient shapes
There are a huge number of different characteristics required of plastic containers, and the levels required are increasing as well. In addition to the most basic requirements of shelf life and portability, there are many more requirements such as usage-related convenience (easy pouring, easy emptying) that are more obvious to the user, and diverse functions are demanded of different products (solids, liquids, high and low viscosity products). Other needs that are increasing are improved branding and customer appeal through container design, while reducing the environmental burden has also become more important lately. Aoki is responding to these various market needs by continuing to deliver ever more value-added containers.

Shapes realized by the Direct Heatcon Molding System
With the Direct Heatcon Molding System, preforms are stretch-blow molded immediately instead of firstly having to be completely cooled down. This unique molding system enables the production of high valued-added container shapes.

Oval container molding technology
Oval containers have many advantages, such as offering a wider label panel to the consumer, being easy to hold, and requiring less space when packed for shipping. With the new Aoki ovalizing technology, more heat is retained in the areas of the preform that require stretching, so controlling wall thickness of the container is much easier.
Off-center container molding technology
Offset containers give easier pourability for liquids. Off-center containers that are quite difficult with other molding methods can be molded with a uniform product wall thickness on Aoki machines to achieve product lightweighting and material cost reductions. The high offset ratio of 3 to 7 that Aoki’s technology enables is expanding the potential for plastic containers.
Wide mouth container molding technology
Wide mouth containers have a large neck diameter that requires high injection mold clamping pressure during the preform molding stage. Aoki’s molding system employs an open cylinder mechanism that delivers sufficient injection mold clamping pressure to successfully mold high precision, large diameter neck containers of 100mm or greater.
Ultra narrow-necked container molding technology
Aoki’s Direct Heatcon molding technology enables molding of small containers of approximately 3-5mL, such as eye drop or mascara bottles, with greater precision than glass containers. This molding technology goes one step further as well and enables the molding of containers with an internal neck diameter of as little as 5mm, or variable wall-thickness preforms for container ovalizing, while at the same time accurately heat conditioning the preform.
